The HSIF team, as well as other IU students, faculty and alumni, joined forces with Whirlpool Corp. and Habitat for Humanity to constuct a home for a family in need. Zachary Bailey, serving on HSIF's board of directors, and Hillary Nolting, HSIF's Chief Strategy Officer, were featured in an article from the Indiana Daily Student about the build. HSIF teamed up with Workspace, by Blue Burro, to hold an educational and networking based event for small business owners around Bloomington. The event encompassed the "Tools for Business Success" as Kelley School of Business Professors provided insights into how to be a successful business owner. HSIF Executive Members, Katie McCarthy and Alaina Thompson, travelled to UC Berkeley to attend the Lend for America Conference.
